GAP9Mod (GAP9 Core Module) is a system-on-module that implements on a small PCB the mostly “invariant” part of any application based on GAP9. It can be used to quickly develop demos or proof of concept boards and is also a central element in the generic GAP9 Evaluation Kit.

Description

> System-on-Module including:

GreenWaves Technologies’s GAP9 chip
Up to 512Mbit Flash+ 256Mbit RAM with Octal SPI interface to GAP9 (‘Xcella’ standard)*
24.576MHz crystal (optional use, to generate master reference clock)
32.768KHz crystal (optional use as RTC/Watchdog reference clock)
all required passives to properly operate this sub-system
test points for current consumption monitoring

> 22mm x 30mm, M.2 format card edge connector

> All free I/Os of GAP9 are routed to the edge connector

* The optional external RAM fitted on GAP9Mod is supplied by our partner APMemory, who offer up to 512Mbit capacity Octal-SPI RAM in BGA, WLCSP or KGD. They also have a QSPI offering, supported by GAP9 too.
The optional Flash selected on GAP9Mod is supplied by Macronix.
