Emmanuel Gresset Joins GreenWaves Technologies as VP of Business Development
Over a month ago, Emmanuel Gresset joined GreenWaves Technologies as our new VP of Business Development. When first approached by GreenWaves, Emmanuel saw the company’s potential to establish a leadership position for the new wave of battery-operated IoT applications.
GreenWaves’ GAP8 IoT application processor delivers best in class energy efficiency for high performance signal processing and machine learning inference algorithms on edge devices. GreenWaves is working to capture the incredible market opportunity for consumer and medical wearables, people and objects counting, machine preventive maintenance, home surveillance, voice control, face detection and recognition, consumer audio and robotics, autonomous drones, and smart toys.
Emmanuel has more than 30 years of experience working in the systems and semiconductor industries in the fields of signal processing, wireless modems as well as processor and system-on-chip (SoC) architecture. He has held leadership positions at companies including CEVA, Octasic, STMicroelectronics, NXP, Philips, VLSI Technology and several startups.
With his extensive experience, Emmanuel understands the challenges and opportunities in the silicon market and is committed to growing GreenWaves’ global business across market segments.
GreenWaves has experienced significant growth over the past year. Headquartered in Grenoble France, GreenWaves has developed a growing team that comes from a wide range of backgrounds from all over the world with more than 10 nationalities. In February 2019, GreenWaves announced it raised seven million euros in its Series A funding round, demonstrating the GAP8 processor family’s unique value proposition for the booming IoT and AI markets. With our strong team and funding support, Emmanuel will help to build upon the momentum we’ve created.
GreenWaves is working closely with multiple customers that have designed GAP8 into ultra low power IoT devices and wearables. One of them is ramping up production this quarter and the others will enter volume production throughout 2020.
